Dr. Alana Vernon PT, DPT
Physical Therapist — Sisters Clinic
Alana grew up in rural Southeastern Oregon and pursued her passion for outdoor fitness and wellness education by starting her education at Oregon State University - Cascades in Bend. She couldn't stop there, so she moved to Hillsboro to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University. After traveling to Alaska and Idaho, Alana and her husband found their new home in Sisters where they have found a welcoming community they cherish. She has enjoyed going on service learning trips to Peru and Guatemala to share her education and help people in areas without access to healthcare. Since graduating, Alana has pursued a number of clinical interests including:
- pelvic floor dysfunction
- low back pain
- balance and fall recovery
- vestibular rehab
- upper extremity rehab
- spinal manipulative therapy
After taking some time off to spend with her young son and gain further advanced training in pelvic floor physical therapy, she is very excited to provide high quality treatment to the Sisters community. Alana is excited to be raising her son who was born in 2021 and getting him out to enjoy all of our wonderful Central Oregon activities. She enjoys cross country skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, and performing lots of home Do-It-Yourself projects with assistance from her husband to make sure they turn out well.
