Miranda Starr PT, DPT
Miranda was born and raised in Hood River, Oregon. She has known she wanted to be a physical therapist since she was 17 when she received physical therapy following a ski accident. To facilitate her passion, she attended Willamette University and received her bachelor in exercise science. After graduation, she gained work experience at a PT clinic as an aide, worked as a personal trainer and exercise instructor. In each of these positions, she gained a deepened appreciation for the complexities of the human body.
She attended University of Montana for her doctorate in physical therapy where she attended various orthopedic clinicals. Since graduation, she has been committed to the orthopedic population. She has really enjoyed combining applying evidence based care and learning from her patients. She has special interest in neck, back, hip & knee injuries, and pelvic floor conditions. She also has extensive knowledge in treating persistent pain and has provided training on the subject for other PTs. Miranda uses a mix of movement, manual therapies, modalities and education in her treatment. As your physical therapist, she hopes to provide a very individualized program by ensuring you are a part of the conversation when it comes to your care.
In her free time, you can find her mountain biking, skiing, hiking & cooking with her partner and dog.
